Nantucket

I had yesterday, and today off... Yesterday I decided to take my bike over to Nantucket for the day and do some exploring. It is a fairly small island, I bike almost all the way across it. It was roughly 3 miles to north and south, I arrived at the north part, and rode the 3 miles south to the HI hostel on Nantucket, met the people who work there, and relaxed on their amazing beach. From there, I biked the 10 miles to Sconset, which is on the far eastern side of the island, lots of big rich houses on the top of the sand dunes looking out to an extremely blue ocean. It is very unique. The main little town on Nantucket has very narrow cobble stone streets with brick sidewalks. It is one of the coolest little towns I have ever been to. I wish I could have had more time to explore it.. but I did have time to stop in a cafe called The Bean and get a drink and relax for alittle bit before my ferry came back to Hyannis. It is about a 2 hours ferry ride, and I didnt even get sea sick, which is a bonus. Yeah, so here are some pictures.

On my way to Nantucket!

Good bye Hyannis

Welcome to Nantucket

Old cobblestone streets on main street.

This path leads from the hostel in Nantucket to the beach.

This would be the beach across the street from the Nantucket hostel.
