Mom and Dad visited!

So my parents came out to the cape for 5 days and got to see alot in that short time. These were only the pictures I have but mom has many more...

The rain stopped at just the right time.

Sox vs Yanks

Tickles was supposed to be out here to go to this game with me, but unfortunately due to Hurricane Irene, which just brought 40mph winds here, and no rain, and an 18 hour power outage, he had to go back to Minnesota before the Sox Yanks game. Jamie came with me instead, the Sox lost, and they continue to lose and are only a few games up in the wildcard lead now... oh well... Fenway Park is worth the visit!

Oh yeah, I was there.

Nova Scotia

The homestead for 2 days...

The weather said it was supposed to rain the entire time... but it didn`t!

I spy a bottle of wine... Aniela and I wandering around during the low tide.

Blomidon Provincial Park in Nova Scotia... Aniela and I.

If you are ever in Canada... I would highly recommend going to a Tim Hortons, I love the breakfast, but any time of the day would be good... and I hate coffee, but their coffee/french vanilla is amazing.

The boats are in during low tide.

Sandy Neck

Well, I had another day off. We were fortunate enough to get our first Norwegian guest, Maria from Hamar. She joined Matthias and I to Sandy Neck where we did some hiking, played some indiejakke and just relaxed in the sun. Not much to write about, just that the cape is beautiful, and we are having a good time!

This was our view for most of the day

Thats right, I live here this summer

Again, the simple pleasures of life.

Where are we? Caribbean? Mediterranean? Bali? no, no no, Cape Cod.

Nantucket.... round 2

On one of my free days with Matthias, we decided to go to Nantucket. We had beautiful weather, except for on the south side of the island... it was quite foggy, but other than that it was a beautiful day. We took bikes over to get around, we saw the Nantucket hostel and explored the little main part of the city. Matthias really wanted to eat a good American meal, so we went to a place he could get a burger. As you can see by the pictures, we also went to Olive Garden for a dinner, and a few days after these pictures were taken, he wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast... so I could not deny him of these "American" traditions.

This was the night before... but the simple pleasures of life....

Where in the world are we?

Matthias arrived into Boston yesterday, and today we had our first full day on the cape. We did some exploring up towards Truro and Province town. We checked out the Truro hostel, and from there we did some hiking, both on the beach and on some trails. Then we drove up further to Provincetown, and walked out to the furthest point on the cape. We then went to find some food in Province town, and now we are back in Hyannis just sippin on some Mr. Jim Beam and relaxing. Here are some pictures.
